# Request for Setting Default Hearing (SIE-0023) This form is used to ask the court to schedule a hearing after a defendant has failed to respond to a lawsuit within the required time period. A plaintiff (the person who filed the original lawsuit) would use this form to move the case forward and potentially win by default if the defendant doesn't show up to defend themselves.
This form must be printed and filled by hand, or opened in Adobe Acrobat.
