# Elder or Dependent Adult Abuse Restraining Order After Hearing (EDA-02) This form is used to create a court order that prevents someone from abusing, threatening, or contacting an elderly person or a dependent adult after a judge has held a hearing and decided the protection is necessary. A person who is 65 years old or older, or a dependent adult of any age who cannot care for themselves, would need this order if they have been mistreated and need legal protection from their abuser.
