# SB-12950 Explanation This form is used when someone filing a lawsuit cannot find the defendant to deliver them court papers in person, so they ask the court for permission to post the notice on the defendant's property or in a newspaper instead. A person would need this form if they've tried reasonable efforts to locate a defendant but can't serve them through normal methods.
