This form is used to get court approval for someone to use the equity in their property (the difference between what it's worth and what they owe on it) as a guarantee to be released from jail while waiting for their trial. A person accused of a crime who doesn't have cash for bail but owns property would need this form to ask the judge to let them put up their home or land instead.
