This form is used to request that a person's information be removed from or protected in the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (CLETS), which is a database that police officers and other law enforcement can access. Someone who has had a criminal case dismissed, been found not guilty, or received a pardon would need this form to prevent their arrest record from showing up in police searches.
