This form is used when two sides in a lawsuit have agreed to settle their case and need extra time to file the paperwork that officially ends the lawsuit. Either party to a case (the person suing or the person being sued) would use this form to notify the court of the settlement and ask the judge for a deadline extension to complete the dismissal process.
