The JV-183 form is used to ask a judge to change or modify an existing court order that was made in a juvenile dependency case (involving child welfare or foster care). A parent, guardian, social worker, or attorney would use this form when circumstances have changed and they need the judge to update the original decision about a child's care, custody, or services.
