# Marsden Motion A Marsden Motion is used by a criminal defendant to ask the court to remove their current public defender or court-appointed lawyer because they believe that lawyer is not giving them adequate help with their case. A defendant who feels their lawyer is not working hard enough, communicating with them, or properly defending them would need to file this form.
This form must be printed and filled by hand, or opened in Adobe Acrobat.
