ICWA-010(A) is used to notify Native American tribes that a child welfare case is happening in court, as required by federal law to protect Native American children and tribal rights. A social worker, attorney, or court official handling a child abuse, neglect, or dependency case would need to use this form when a child might have Native American heritage.
