The FL-170 form is used by someone asking a court to end their marriage or legal separation without the other spouse appearing in court or contesting the decision. This form is needed by a person who either has an agreement with their spouse about how to split assets and responsibilities, or whose spouse doesn't show up to respond to the divorce or separation papers.
