The GV-125 is a form used to request a gun violence restraining order (also called an extreme risk protection order) that temporarily removes a person's access to firearms. Someone who is concerned that a family member, intimate partner, or household member is in crisis and poses a danger to themselves or others would need to file this form to ask a court to take away their guns.
