This form is used when both sides in a court case agree to meet with a judge or mediator before trial to try to settle their dispute without going through a full court proceeding. Anyone involved in a civil lawsuit in Alameda County—such as someone suing for money, a landlord and tenant in a dispute, or parties in a family matter—would use this form if they want to attempt resolving their case through a settlement conference.
