# Order for Diversion An Order for Diversion is used to allow someone accused of a crime to avoid a criminal conviction by completing a rehabilitation or treatment program instead of going through a full trial. A person would need this form if they've been charged with a crime and both the prosecutor and judge agree they're a good candidate for completing a diversion program (such as drug treatment or mental health counseling) rather than facing criminal penalties.
