This form allows someone who has already entered a guilty or not guilty plea in a criminal case to change that plea to a different one before their case is finalized. A defendant would use this form if they want to switch their plea—for example, from not guilty to guilty, or vice versa—because they've changed their mind or reached a different agreement with the prosecutor.
