The CR-202 form is used to request a public defender (a free lawyer paid by the government) if you cannot afford to hire your own attorney in a criminal case. You would need this form if you've been arrested or charged with a crime in Merced Superior Court and cannot pay for legal representation.
This form must be printed and filled by hand, or opened in Adobe Acrobat.
