# Order for Publication of Summons or Citation (SB-30) This form is used when someone filing a lawsuit cannot find or locate the defendant to serve them with court papers in the normal way, so the court allows them to publish a notice in the newspaper instead. A person would need this form when they've tried to locate a defendant but can't find their current address or whereabouts, such as in cases involving missing parties or people who have left the area.
This form must be printed and filled by hand, or opened in Adobe Acrobat.
